I'm feeling a little....

ripe and drained. I haven't had a proper shower since Saturday, gross huh? Although, I shouldn't underestimate the goodness of a sponge bath, it works well in a pinch. Why do you ask? Because Roger found about an inch of water in parts of our basement on Saturday, our hot water heater was leaking. What was so very annoying about it other than the lack of hot water, was that the heater wasn't even four years old. The good news is it was still under warranty. We got a new one for only the price of installation. I'll be thrilled to take a shower later when the water is warm!

For those of you keeping track at home, well really for myself, 2010 hasn't been a great year for household items...

We replaced our fridge in June because it wasn't working. This is the new one.

We replaced our car in August. The old one was working, but needed a lot of repairs.

We replaced our furnace in September. It had been non-functional since March.

And I really hope lastly we just replaced our hot water heater.

Do you see why me and my bank account are feeling so drained? I would be remiss though if I didn't say how truly blessed we are. This has been an overall great year for us. We have learned and done a lot. We are so looking forward to the holidays and the birth of our baby boy (did I mention we found out we're having another boy?) in March.

Yeah... I'm glad you posted. I thought it was about time for some gender info!! LOVE BOYS!! So fun!! Congrats. I have been wondering about you. I hope you are feeling well.

I hear ya loud and clear as far as replacements go! Its no fun to "replace". All of your improvements are beautiful though.
Take Care :)

I was wondering when we would hear what you were having. I'm so excited for you guys. Sorry about everything else, we had a year like that last year except it was with cars. Wish we could see you!

What?! Where have I been? Congrats on another boy. I definitely think that boys need a brother more than girls need a sister. How exciting...though all those repairs are not! Awful! The year of the replacements. Hopefully that does stop soon!

It seems like your appliances got together for a planned strike- no fair! But congrats on your boy!

Hi Chelsea...congrats on a new baby coming! How exciting! After 3, it's smooth sailing :) I always said 3 is the hardest number. So excited for you guys!
We are heading to PA for Christmas, too bad we won't be on your side of the state, or we'd drop in and say hello.

I can relate, car trouble what seems like all the time. We just replaced our dryer, our water heater should go out any minute I'm surprised it has lasted this long. One of our garage doors isn't working, still need to get that fixed and our garbage disposal broke! But I really am grateful for how much we do have and must say that I am loving my new dryer! It's not a super nice one or anything, but still so much better than the old one! Miss you guys, hope you have a good Thanksgiving! Sorry this was more like an email than a comment:)
