For Goodness Sakes

I usually have a pretty good memory. Well for dates anyway. Roger makes fun of me because I can remember people's birthdays and all other kinds of useless information. When it comes to useful information though, that's a different story. I had the worst brain blunder on Tuesday. I was at the park with my friend Kathrin. It was a beautiful day and the kids were playing so well. It was time to leave and I realized that I locked my keys in the car. So normally that's not so bad, you can just call your significant other and have them come unlock the doors right? Well Roger's in New York for work, nice huh? He did leave his keys with me, but where were they? On their hook at home? Of course not. They were also in my purse, locked in the car. Such a predicament huh? Kathrin again came to the rescue (she babysits kids all the time for me, she's a lifesaver). She has AAA, so we just called and had them come get the keys out. I can't believe what a doofus I am. Good thing for good friends who are willing to sacrifice to help out (Kathrin's son missed a music lesson, I'm a dirt bag huh?) The question I pose to all of you is this; can I blame this serious brain blunder on being pregnant or like my brother always says, do I have to own up to having no street smarts?

That is a pregnancy blunder, all the way.

I absolutely believe that I am way more stupider when pregnant or I have a newborn. The only time I ever feel like I need a day-planner is when I'm pregnant. Things just don't seem to stay in my head they way they should!
Plus, if you've got an excuse...use it Sista!

It was pregnancy brain, for sure. We had such a fun day! Daniel was relieved to miss his lesson (he didn't practice as much as he should have), the kids got to play longer and to cap it off, we had ice cream. :)

You can for sure blame it on that...I just am trying to think up an excuse now that my son is one, so milk it for all it's worth!

Pregnancy does crazy things to your brain. Can't tell you how many times I have done things like this. Sad thing is, I am still doing it and not pregnant. Now it must be having no street smarts or I am really that out of touch.

I was thinking the same thing as Heather. I still have prego brain and it's been over 7 months! That's awful! Locking the keys in the car w/o a hubby has always been one of my fears. And I hate that they make you pay like 70 bucks just to get them out. Maybe I should start that as my side job...

I am totally like that when I am pregnant, Sean calls is "Placental Shunt!" I continue to have this a good 8-12 months after the baby is born too!

Hi Chelsea, Roger, Ashby, Avery, and little brother,
Just a note to let you know I enjoy your blog, thanks to my daughter, DeAnna, who showed me the photos of your two beautiful girls.

A small package is in the mail for the girls and baby brother to enjoy. Take care, Pat

I would totally blame that on pregnancy brain! I also get clumsy. I think I brinke three glasses and a plate when we were in France.
