It's time

It's high time for a good freak out. I realized today that indeed there are only two months until my due date. Ummm, yikes. I was explaining to Roger the stress I am feeling about this fall and he told me to stop talking because his head was going to explode. Nice. So what better way to let it all out then to blog. So Ashby's starting kindergarten and she has all of one pair of shoes that aren't sandals that will fit her and oh yeah, she won't wear them on the playground cause "stuff might get in them". She also has all of one pair of pants without holes that fit. Hopefully it will be shorts season for a while longer. This is just my first child to enter school and I'm already feeling the back to school pinch, yikes, it only gets worse huh? Avery's gonna need new clothes too because Ashby wore out everything in her size. She's really into skirts so maybe she can just wear the skirts she's been wearing all summer all winter and I'll just duct tape some down feathers to her legs or something. Oh yeah and did I mention that the baby doesn't have a place to sleep yet. Roger's been working late hours so I don't let him work on the room when he gets home because I want to talk to him (although maybe not after he told me to be quiet...). I don't own any diapers yet and who knows what the baby is going to wear. Some very kind people have given us some hand me downs and our friend Deanna gave us the first new clothes for the baby, but I haven't gone through and sorted anything yet because there's no where to put them... remember the room isn't done yet. Yikes, yikes, yikes. I guarantee I will be painting a bedroom on October 5th, wanna come help? So what's buggin' you?

Yikes... Thanks for sending me into a panic of my own... I guess I have an extra month on you, though. I remember being so eager for the first pregnancy to end; now I just keep saying, "take your time, little one"

Yes I do want to come help. Shall we schedule it for Oct 5 or would you like to bump that date up a little bit?
Maybe if we came and brought Margaret with we'd have enough people to actually do some helping in addition to just bringing three extra kids. We'll talk next week!

Remember my vacation time. . .stupid Kevin's class that I can't come after the reunion, that was a truly splendid idea of yours! Maybe I can still do some fanangling (sp?)
So, I dreamnt last night I was having twins, then I go to Enrichment last night and Lisa Schilling (she came after you left I think) had a dream that I was pregnant too. . .too weird, no bun in the oven, I'm sure of it!

If it makes you feel any better, Hunter slept in the portable crib in my bathroom for quite some time!! Whatever works right?? And, I am not having a baby, however I too, have been too busy to think about school or fall yet....so I guess my children will be just as shoeless and naked as yours!

Umm I think that the solution to your problem would be to move back to Salt Lake and let me help you. My sisters have bins and bins of boy clothes that you could use, and girl ones for that matter. I am a great painter and I have such a soothing personality that I can promise you your stress level would decrease! So just let me know when you are coming and I will find a wonderful place for you to live! Can't wait!

Oh, Chels! I was a bit stressed for you as I read this. Just take a deep breath, and I know it will all be okay. Maybe you need to take a whole day out. You can take the girls shopping, Roger can stay home and finish the room, and all will be well!

Is this the whole nesting thing kicking into high gear? I hope you get everything worked out without too much stress. My clothes sorting extravaganza will begin next Wednesday, by the way. I hope a nice bin full of clothes will help to calm your stresses a bit.

Chel, I feel for you I was like that when I had Ellie, no where to put her! It will all work out and if your little boy has to wear pink well he won't know the difference right??? I too agree that we would love you back here in Utah!

Love ya!

I remember going through exactly the same freak out. The solution? Ivie spent many days in blue outfits with dinosaurs and trucks on them. Oh wait, she still does.

Chels--
congrats on kid #3! I can feel your stress, not because I have another one on the way, but because I fretted #1's arrival. In fact, I didn't have the crib set up, the changing table set up, curtains hung, diapers purchased, all the clothes washed, my files organized, my work caught up, and peace resolved before Maddie was born. I think we bought a car seat (or was it a gift? I can't remember) until about a week before her arrival. I was freaking out...thinking every day if she came we would be stuck at the hospital. Then Ryan, the good, sensible husband he is, reminded me the stores will still be open, the sun will still come out, the baby will still breath, and there will be time even once the baby comes to get things done. So alas, take a deep breath and think, "what's the worst that can happen if the room isn't ready for baby 3?" so she may have to sleep in the hallway or the bathroom for a few days or weeks. That's okay, right?

And by the way, Oct. 4 or Oct. 23 are good days to be born. Hint: Oct. 4 - Maddie, Oct. 23 - ME!

Wow. Looks like stress time! It will all be okay. Can you believe that you have one in Kindergarden? Are you going to cry when she leaves?
