My most excellent recommendations

Ok first, seriously Cougars what's wrong with you? Breaking my heart again, yowza... Have any of you been watching this? I found it on CNN the other day. It's a documentary of two freshman Congressman in the House of Representatives. It's so interesting to watch how life moves and shakes in the House. The two reps it follows couldn't be more opposite, I like watching how they both work. And lastly I'm always looking for a good book to read. My friend kim posted a bunch of books she's read on her blog and one of them was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. If you haven't read it, run don't walk to your nearest library/bookstore and pick it up. I loved it. Unfortunately it's the first in a trilogy, the next one comes out this fall. I hate waiting, but boy did I love that book. Our society is just a small step from The Hunger Games, horrifying.

My copy of the Hunger Games just arrived from Amazon today - so good timing. My friend here highly recommended it too. Can't wait to start it - even though I'm in the middle of a book called The Middle Place (ironic?).

Kim got the recommendation from a woman in our book club and she was still talking about it this last book club. I might try it but it just doesn't sound like me. . .I recommend "Magnificent Obsession" by Lloyd C. Douglass. That's what we're reading for our book club this month upon my recommendation. I think it's a great book.

I'll be taking a little stroll to the library today. As long as there's no character named Edward, I'm in.

Chelsea, I am so glad you liked it! and Kelly, I promise that just because certain nameless people liked it, it isn't too romance-ish...
